High Wine, Guyana

I bought this for two dollars at the duty-free shop at the airport in Georgetown, Guyana.

High wine is very popular in Guyana.

I don't think I will ever actually open this bottle.

So far as I understand it, high wine is a volatile and potent spirit (140 proof) skimmed from vats of rum during the distillation process. It is generally consumed by homeless people and criminals. It can also be used to run power tools and to clean firearms.
