Subway Tiles, Buenos Aires

The subway in Buenos Aires is one of the most interesting you'll find. Many stations are done up in specific motifs, with elaborate tilework. At Independencia station in the San Telmo neighborhood, the tilework is a geometric arabesque that looks straight from one of the mosques of Fez.

The old electric carriages of the line running between Plaza de Mayo and Primera Junta are wood-panel relics with slat benches and windows with leather handles.

BA is such an enjoyable city, and the Subte is a lot of fun to use. I never did figure out the buses though.
