Flying Woodchips

On Tuesday there was a seminar on how to use a wood lathe. This act of sculpting wood with the lathe is called turning. We see the Technical Director Intern Austin trying his hand at the lathe. I really like how in the photo you can see the piece of wood spinning incredibly fast but Austin is holding the chisel firm against the wood. The woodchips flying off give it a nice touch as well. But don’t worry; we were all wearing eye protection.
