Fire in the Sky
I’m living in Richfield Springs, New York, this summer at one of the Glimmerglass residences. It’s hard to see the sunsets there because of the trees, but I have learned to looks for signs. I had a hunch on Tuesday that the sunset that day would be decent, so I kept an eye on the sky. I began to see purple in the sky so I knew that the sunset was going to be lovely. I headed over to Canadarago Lake and arrived right after the sun set behind the hills. Luckily, I was still able to photograph the sunlight reflecting on the clouds. This landscape is actually several photos I stitched together in Photoshop. Sunsets (and sunrises if I am ever up that early) are never alike. Every one is different. On this sunset, I enjoyed the reds, oranges and purples in the sky that night and how they reflected on the ripples of the lake.
