Great shot! And a beautiful beach, wish I was there!
  • Graham Jenkin 10y

Thanks Jackie! If you were there, you may have seen half of the spiral disappear within a minute as a large-ish wave took a bite. Ocean Beach is usually windy and a little cold, but today was fantastic.

That's very cool! Must be "drawn" using a compass. And temporary, like those Tibetan sand mandalas.

its similar to the kind of art that i do, just on a much larger scale.
  • .Ariel 10y

I wonder if that's the work of my friend Phildelity. Here's some of his past sand work.

Cool pic, we were too lazy to climb up that high.

This was done by Jim Denevan. There is a few sets documenting his work of March 6th on Flickr, by myself, dotpolka and dnsf. Looks like a Denevan-fan-group is in order.

This would also fit nicely into the Natural Art group pool.

    Enough with the links :).

Edit: Wow, Electrolicious. Your friends have some impressive stuff. I wish I lived closer to the beach.

This is the first time I have seen this type of art. I love it. Better than crop circles for sure.

MeFi also has a post on it with some links and info.

will also fit well in the Koru group
