I hate when my cats do that, I had to close the pet door because they would bring their "presents" in the house. It is a good capture, though.

The story behind this picture is that I was inside the house and Gigi was in the garden. There is a window between us...

There are so many birds, it doesn't hurt to let cats be cats. My Kali has been seen to swoop up and grab a hummingbird right out of the air. She can get the other birds, flies, bugs, whenever she wants them. GoldenGirl loves digging Cicadas out of the ground. When we took care of rescued racoon babies, they loved Cicadas like candy. These cats were definitely named correctly.

I don't think he looks guilty; I think he looks like he's showing you his catch and asking for your approval. Our old cat used to catch mice every night and line them up on the doorstep in a row, heads all pointing one way, and tails the other. Apparently, we didn't praise him enough, so eventually he lined them up next to the horse's watering trough instead.

By the way, is this a chickadee that he's caught?
