The Foundation and Ford Family presented Jimmy Carter with the 2017 Gerald R. Ford Medal for Distinguished Public Service. The announcement was made by Trustee Carla A. Hills at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation Annual Dinner on June 5, 2017. Hills was joined by Red Cavaney, Steve Ford, and Joseph Calvaruso in previously traveling to Atlanta, Georgia earlier in 2017 to present the award to the 39th President of the United States.
