Drilled by Shell Oil in 1956, this oil exploration well produced over 1000 gallons per minute of 185-degree-F water. Calcium carbonate deposits have encrusted the well pipe over the past 50 years. Location--Angela well, near Miles City, Montana. Photo taken--July 10, 2012
