The Highland Capital Management Lecture: "Cryptocurrencies, AI, and the Disruptive Technologies That Will Redefine the Global Economy," was a lively conversation on the disruptive nature of technology on the global economy and our established institutions. Panelists included Barry Eichengreen, professor of economics and political science at Cal-Berkeley and a former senior advisor at the International Monetary Fund; Robert S. Kaplan, president and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas; and Tuur Demeester, founder of bitcoin fund Adamant Capital.
