Gorgeous portrait, lovely hues and detail.

But, this strikes me as slightly older than 1910. Based on the clothing, I'd say more circa 1920's.

Perhaps they are engaged. She has a ring and he does not.

Her ring is not on her ring finger - perhaps not.

I can't see her settling for him, anyway. Way too perfectly put together. He'd have way too much opportunity.

I wonder if they were a couple and if they were whether their children or grandchildren are still with us? This is a wonderful portrait ..and the softness of autochrome only adds to the effect.

    The clothing is definitely 1920s.

They do seem an odd match--she is not striking but she looks to have a bit more....breeding or maybe money or something. That's it! She's a rich girl and he's a baseball player in an era when they made next to nothing.

There is obviously a strong connection the way their bodies are angled into each other very comfortably. Maybe just boyfriend and girlfriend.
And I think she is beautiful her dress is lovely.

I love the way the wind has moved her dress near the bottom.
