September scenery along the former Belfast & County Down Railway main line. This ran from the Queen’s Quay station, Belfast and proceeded via Dundonald, Comber, Ballygowan, Saintfield, Ballynahinch Junction and Crossgar to Downpatrick. This picture was taken on the Dundonald to Comber section. Following the railway's closure, on 23 April 1950, the track bed was lifted and a public walkway developed along parts of the old railway line.
I suggest that you view my picture in Lightbox - Press L.
I'd really appreciate it if you did not incorporate your own photostream badges, etc. into your comments : I simply haven't enough time to give them the attention they deserve. Sorry. I should also be grateful if you did not post your own photographs or Flickriver strips etc. into the comment boxes below.
No multiple awards / invitations please.
