Ubuntu Hardy Heron on a (black) Mac SE/30

    Newer Older

    well... sort of...

this old project (my first!) is still the monitor to my media center... so you're actually looking at Ubuntu Hardy Heron running on an AMD XP2800+ with 2GB of RAM, which uses this Mac only as a monitor ;-)

but... this does mean I said goodbye to Vista! (on my media center) ^_^

I mean, c'mon! I soooooooo had it with that! ;-)

B.t.w. I hardly thought of that, but this black SE/30 goes very well with my black iPhone (why didn't i spot/think of that before?)

This must mean that there is some sort of support for SoundStorm on Linux, if you are installing Hardy on there?? Or have your uses and plans for your media center changed so that having SoundStorm is not as much of an issue?

Ah well, this is what I'm eager to try... If that somehow doesn't live up to its expectation, I'm gonna shop for something else, but no more Vista (or any other MS product) will go on there for sure! ;-)
