Future CTOC Participants Start the English Language Enhancement Course
GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN, Germany (Feb. 27, 2018) – The Marshall Center is hosting English Language Enhancement Course from Feb. 27 to April 3. This ELEC is a specially tailored program for participants who will be attending the Marshall Center’s resident Program on Countering Transnational Organized Crime, which starts April 5 and ends April 27. Professor Joe Vann, CTOC director, and U.S. Army Lt. Col. Christopher A Kreiler, CTOC deputy director, welcomed the 15 participants from 10 countries Feb. 27. “English is one of the true global languages. Continue to work on your English proficiency because it increases your ability to network. You will hear ‘it takes a network to defeat a network’ in CTOC. Whether it is a network to defeat a terrorist network or a network to defeat a network of transnational criminals, your ability to speak to one another in English as a network will be very, very important.” (Marshall Center photo by Christine June)
