AFN Bavaria’s ‘The Joe Show’ Interviews Marshall Center Staff, Faculty, Participants
GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN, Germany (Feb. 6, 2018) – The American Forces Network Bavaria’s “The Joe Show” deejays interviewed seven Marshall Center staff, faculty and participants during their LIVE remote at the Edelweiss Lodge and Resort here Feb. 6.
This show reaches some of our stakeholders – U.S. Embassy staff in Europe, EUCOM and AFRICOM and U.S. Army Africa – as well as other U.S. military installations in Europe.
The show’s deejays, U.S. Army Sgt. Andre Clark aka “Andre 6’4000” and U.S. Army Spec. Taylor Gillespie aka “TayTay” ran the show.
The first guest was U.S. Army Maj. Inga Emery, foreign area officer who is currently assigned to the Marshall Center and a participant of the Seminar on Regional Security. She talked about how SRS will help her in her career as an Army FAO.
Then, the SRS director German Air Force Col. Jörg Kunze talked about the importance of this seminar and how it is structured so that the 60 participants from 25 countries learn about conflict management and resolution.
In the break before the 11 o’clock news, Ben Reed, Marshall Center’s U.S. deputy director, talked about the history and vision of the Marshall Center.
Gwyneth Kozma, Marshall Center’s registrar, and German Air Force Sgt. Maj. Dirk Brand-Javofke, also from the registrar’s office, talked about how U.S. participants can register for our courses.
LTC Konan Jean Noel N'guessan from Côte d'Ivoire, a participant of the English Language Enhancement Course for Program on Terrorism and Security Studies closed out the 11 o’clock break. He talked about the importance of improving his skills for the next Program on Terrorism and Security Studies, which starts Feb. 14. He also talked about how important PTSS will be in his daily job as the Head of the Operation Team of the Special Forces for the Côte d'Ivoire Ministry of Defense. His classmates came to the show to support and encouragement.
Last but definitely not least, Dr. Jack Clarke talked about the Marshall Center and Munich Security Conference Loisach Group hosting a side event at this year’s Munich Security Conference Feb. 18.
