Amber-winged Hawker (Aeshna grandis)

After a meeting last week I had time for a quick walk before driving home. It was sunny but windy so photographing dragonflies was proving very difficult. As I was about to leave whilst trying to focus on a Black Darter I heard wings brush against me. Looking down a female Brown/Amber winged Hawker landed on the zip of my jacket to feed on an insect it had caught. Not the easiest to photograph with the jacket blowing about and being so close! Managed to get this record shot.
