DCS PRO SLRn 24mmNikkor

Best time of year is beginning of winter as you get snow on the tops but colour lower down. The lakes are often smoothest earlier in the morning. Sun to the left of this early morning shot.

Sunsets can be spectacular as it goes down behind the Snowdon massif and the red clouds are reflected in the lakes.

If going after a snowfall in winter get there early if you want the foreground pristine otherwise prepare for hard work removing footprints!

A beautiful composition which draws you in, and in, and in.....
I just wish we had such photogenic places in my part of the world. But that said, your landscape images have inspired me to now go out and try to find [or create] great subjects locally - just need to dust off the wide-angle lens now;o)
