most people have never eaten this kind of avocado
in southern california, these avocado trees are abundant
i used to live near a street called "fuerte" which was near another street called "avocado"
when in season, this fruit is exceptional
compared with other avos, it rises above for certain reasons: flavor, texture, oil and overall hrumpf
because it has an incredibly thin skin and is subject to bruising and damage, it was never used for commerical avo farms -- shipping screwed it all up
but if you ever get a chance, try one
haas is still better for guacamole, IMO, because it is lighter in flavor and oil and consistency, so it takes on salsa flavors, garlic, lemon, etc much better
but for a straight up taste of heaven, olive oil, sea salt, chipotle powder, cayenne and black pepper will do the trick!!!
