      I did a little research,and this paticular book cover is considered a masterpiece of Art Deco,but Iknow of no symbology beyond just being a fascinating Art Deco design.
      It looks slightly Islamic to me.
      I do love that muted orange color that was so popular in the 1920's and 30's. You see it in a lot of German posters too.
