    Thank you AKA and Mim.

Great capture. I love the lighting and composition. Rainy days always make me lazy and sleepy so I know what they are going through. I always fall asleep on the trains in Japan.

hehe good shot! hope these persons themselves never find the shot here on your flickr page; they would be embarrased :)

great, great shot! you may want to consider also adding this to the infamous sleeping on the subway pool.

    Happy days. Good catch.

Typical scene in Tokyo. Very TOKYO feel. Nice!

I like this one a lot.

Great shot! Did't you feel a little awkward to take the picture in the train?

Sometimes, I feel a sudden temptation to take pictures of people in a crowded train (it's very interesting), but I can't...I feel shy.
  • Gary Hymes 9y

Farfalla - I didn't need the flash so I didn't feel awkward. I don't think they would have minded much either. :)

That was before Koizimi's "no neck tie" campaign (I think it was about saving energy). I sort of miss dressing up (here in Hawaii an Aloha shirt is formal), but the downside is being so exhausted.
  • Gary Hymes 7y

Yes, exactly! I remember the "Cool Biz" campaign in the news. I believe it started shortly after this. Since I was the "typical American" I was always dressed to be cool. :)
  • drdrewhonolulu 7y

I must be exhausting to wear that everyday, especially in July or August in Japan when it is so humid. I have to confess that a recruit suit has to be one of the most attractive outfits to me. I must have strange taste, or just not have spent enough time in Japan :)
  • allecsallecs 6y

you should see them in moscow, in the subway... :))
