Queen Square, Wolverhampton 18/12/2011

Queen Square, Wolverhampton showing the statue of Prince Albert.

This work of art is by Thomas Thorneycroft, and was unveiled in 1866 in the presence of Queen Victoria herself. Apparently this was the Queen's public engagement since her husband's death in 1861.
