Home Office, 2010

Newer Older

This is how my office has looked for a while now, I just haven't taken the time to post a photo of it. Notes all over the picture to point out what stuff is, if you're into that kind of nerdy detail.

Wallpaper is Aurora, grab it from Prettify: prettify.tumblr.com/post/72403365/

@twoeyes Haven't had it for long enough yet to tell, but the video quality is definitely a lot higher. Looking forward to playing with it more.

@Thiago I'm not, no--but I do have it set to full speed.

Is the desk the Galant 120x60cm + extension? How stable is the extension? Great setup btw!

  5. garrettmurray 48 months ago | reply

@Soliah I think that's probably what it is, I can't quite remember now. It's very stable--the frame that holds them together is very stable--the whole desk feels like a single piece.

I'm jealous...not of the things you have but of how clean your desk is lol

Ok. let's get down to brass tacks here....

Assuming it is the 'Galant' line from Ikea, did you go with the A-Leg or T-Leg?

Did you happen to check out the glass tops? Wondering if they might be a good option as they come in black & in white rather than just clear.

Also, are you using the Signum cable trunking?

I feel a weekend project coming on.

    you are very lucky :)

@SmallestPhoto I went with T legs. At the time I bought this desk, IKEA didn't have a glass top that fit in the space as well as this configuration. That is indeed a Signum cable manager hanging from under the desk in the older photos.

Neat, I'm a lefty too. But for some reason I use my right hand for mouse-ing. I do not know why.

What is on your wall behind the screen? It looks really nice, adds a lot of texture.

It's acoustic foam--we used to record the podcast in this room.
