I received the sad news yesterday that a flickr friend has passed away. Horst was an awesome contact. He was such a kind, generous man and had a beautiful, positive spirit.
His photographs showed his creative eye, love of colour, and sense of fun.
    You'll be missed, Horst.
    Large on Black.

Maureen F., Neil Bernhart [dextr], and 13 other people added this photo to their favorites.

I visited your friend Horst's photostream yesterday via Kiki's tribute to him, which was also a bridge image. So playful and genuine; I wish I had known him. I am sorry for this loss -- for all who were so connected.

Seen on your photo stream. (?)

A very nice tribute to Horst, I didn't know he was ill but I had lost touch with him due to my fault of lack of participation. He was a very fine photographer and always a thoughtfull comment.

I go running along the lake to the Humber bridge in the mornings, and I love that view of the city as the sun is just rising.
      Great shot!
