The Red Maple Seed Experiment

One of those lemonade days where I tried to shoot the little helicopter seeds from the Red Maples. The trees do seem to be loaded with them and some are orange and some are very deep red. The seed measures 1/2"x1/2" and I shot it back lit with the 55mm MICRO Nikkor lens. I wasn't 100% happy with the outcome straight but it looks pretty cool with a little oil paint. I started playing around with the seeds - isolating the seed, making a layer B&W, warping one corner, etc. it still needed something so off I went digging, I've been wanting to use this tiled building that I made but never used. I guess today was the day for a little sliding!!!
