Guard, Braves host state partnership delegation

COOL RAY FIELD, Lawrenceville, Ga., May 16, 2012 – Soldiers with the Georgia Guard’s State Partnership Program, along with the Gwinnett Braves, the triple-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, gave a group of military and government officials from the country of Georgia the opportunity to experience the American past time during the Georgians’ recent visit here.

Here, the Georgians and their Georgia Army Guard partners, to include Command Sgt. Maj. Lance Rygmyr (front left), the post senior enlisted leader, and Air Guard Lt. Col. Dave Johnson (back row, right), director of international affairs for the Georgia National Guard, pose for a group photo at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville.

The Georgians were in the U.S. to attend a Northern Command-sponsored, Georgia Guard-hosted Joint Force Orientation Course as part of the State Partnership Program.
