MPAD Soldier hikes Mt. Aso in Japan

Staff Sgt. Harold Lewis, Jr., a team leader with the 124th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment, walks past a concrete eruption shelter as he films his climb up Mt. Aso, an active volcano near Kumamoto, Japan.

Lewis is on his annual training, part of a team from the MPAD supporting Yama Sakura 59, which is an annual joint exercise between the U.S. Army and the Japan Ground Self Defense Force.
