Recognized for Excellence
FORT GORDON, Ga. April 30, 2015 - Georgia Army National Guard 2nd Lt. Robert Schaff of the Douglasville-based 848th Engineering Company (Sappers) receives a coin of excellence from Col. Thomas Carden, commander of the Georgia Army National Guard. Schaff was recognized for his work as officer in charge of an engineering project that moved over 300 tons of bulk mateial in the process of improving range 17 on Fort Gordon.
Carden visited with the Soldiers of the Augusta-based 878th Engineer Battalion, which includes the 848th En. Co. during their annual training.
