Her Highborn Kingsmen's Head

After recovering from her would-be fatal illness, Annabel Lee realized her royal family was quite against her love, Poe.

Annabel Lee loved him with a love that was more than love and decided to cut her family out of her life---literally.

Now that her royal family was out of the way, Annabel Lee & Poe could finally share their love in peace.

I thought it would be a fun idea to change the poem's ending just a bit. I adore Poe, but when I found this head ornament I knew I could use it with Annabel Lee.

"I was a child and she was a child,

In this kingdom by the sea;

But we loved with a love that was more than love-

I and my Annabel Lee;

With a love that the winged seraphs of heaven

Coveted her and me.

And this was the reason that, long ago,

In this kingdom by the sea,

A wind blew out of a cloud, chilling

My beautiful Annabel Lee;

So that her highborn kinsman came

And bore her away from me,

To shut her up in a sepulchre

In this kingdom by the sea."
