Celluloid Fan, early 20th century

All parts were stamped from Celluloid sheet and hand assembled. The Celluloid was given this curious pattern by a process of crumpling, pressing and slicing black and pearlized sheets; all handmade work. This kind of Celluloid object was made from the late XIXth century to the 1950s all around the globe.
