Desert Castle

In the deep desert, water is the most precious resource! This castle keeps the peace at a spring, and its interior is a place of rest and beauty in the harsh wilderness.

This was the first castle in the series and was originally inspired by those 1x1 printed Minecraft tiles, which reminded me of the tilework you can see in Middle Eastern architecture, such as the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. I used as many plates instead of bricks as I could in order to get a dried-out, cracked texture.

More photos of this MOC; it's part of my Tribute to Yellow Castle 375 series.

Blogged by The Brothers Brick and Oficina dos Baixinhos, thank you :)
