Maserati A6G

The first super sports car from Maserati was the A6G, it was the first Maserati with dual overhead camshafts and a top speed clearly beyond 160 km/h. Apart from the bigger rims, the chassis was nearly unchanged, but the engine came from the six-cylinder Maserati A6GCM which was built for the formula 2. It was the only Maserati which was built in series in the years 1954-1957 and was then replaced by the more modern 3500GT. 60 pieces were produced in total, their open and closed bodies were constructed exclusively from manufacturers such as Allemano, Zagato and Frua.Hit 'L' to view large on black
