Poppet was lurking on the back of my office chair; I shot this over my shoulder with my phone, which was handy as always.
Poppet was a young feral rescue; she's middle aged now, somewhat friendly but still shows some evidence of her stressful outside youth... a little skittish, not a lap cat. But she's sweet in her own way, and loves to play with our other rescues (we are owned by four more of them.)
Five is about our max capacity; we have a lot of room, but five cats need a lot of room. The remaining outside strays we feed and shelter as best we can, and consequently have a pretty healthy group. We trap, neuter, vaccinate and release, which usually goes well. Usually. :)
