I'm Not as Happy as I Look

I can't say I'm a fan of the idea of alligators being farmed en masse and then slaughtered so that their heads can be turned into a curiosity item to line shelves, and their skin into purses and boots. The only upside is that at least they're not depleting the wild population for such a trivial purpose.

If you really think about it, this head was once alive, on something that was then butchered so that someone could have the head sitting on a desk. I think we have better uses of our time than that. I will admit that the head is interesting and intriguing, but to mass "produce" them in such a way seems a little primitive for our "advanced" species.

I don't like that idea either but I really like this picture.

Interesting closing sentence. Is that the same "advanced" species that slaughters each other in two world wars? The same one that has eradicated other species around the globe and is in the process of turned the planet we live on into a cesspool of chemical waste....We are just one small step from Neanderthal Matt no matter how many iPods we carry around...Mother Nature has been trying to shake us off this rock for four million years give or take and we are still hanging on like a flea on a rat...Don't think this advanced species will ever learn from it's mistakes my friend...
