Medusa

Medusa was an adult female eastern garter snake,Thamnophis sirtalis sirtalis, from Maryland. She had scarring on her face, possibly from a predator. Sadly, she died giving birth to a still-born litter. Don't mind the mud, she just ate a toad.

It is pronounced and spelled "garter snake", NOT "garden snake" or "gardner snake".
