for college project - food!
I didn't realise just how difficult it is to firstly get the composition right, flather around with the angles of the plate (why didn't I just chose a round one?!?!?!), then pick a point of focus AND have the right depth of field.
Above it all, the light tent I bought off ebay hasn't turned up and I forgot to iron the bloody tablecloth!!!!
Oh well, I enjoyed spending the afternoon focusing on something, and even better - I got to eat raspberry cheesecake, drizzled in chocolate sauce and double cream, mmmmm!
Exposure 0.002 sec (1/500)
Focal Length 50 mm (used 50mm 1.4 prime)
ISO Speed 320 (no, don't ask why... something to do with forgetting to check it beforehand, arrrghhhh!)
lightsource was a large window behind me, with sunlight pouring through - I got the plate of food into my shadow to make it softer, and a reluctant husband to stand with a reflector to help eliminate any hard shadows on the left.
