This is very good. The perspective and the contrast are perfect.

I'm big fan of black and white and of silhouettes so this really works for me in it's simplicity. The only thing that I think you could improve upon is the slight vignetting(?) in the top corners of the image as this makes it heavy on the eye. I feel like I have tunnel vision when looking at it when I think it should be more relaxing.

    hey.. cool pic!

the black and white fits very well here!
    i really like that!

hmm.. there's just one thing i would change in this picture and that's the crop!
a crop that's nearer to the left pole and that has not so much sky (as i suggested) would make this pic look a little better!
further i would make the sky brighter! (make a higher contrast) :)

    well done!

This is nice. Strong compositional elements work well here for a very effective shot. THe power lines lead my eye into the frame which brings this to life. The glowing area to the left adds further intrigue to the shot.

The only criticism I hae is that there is a little too much black negative space in the lower right. Cropping this would be difficult unless you went for a non uniform crop (which I don't normally like anyway).

I really like what you are going for in this picture, I just believe that there is far too much empty space on the top right. I personally would have just worked with the power lines, since the trees are just a black lump to my eyes, in fact my crop would probably be about the same height as the other suggested crop but entirely to the left hand side of the image.

I like the strong diagonal that the power lines give and the light gradient behind them is lovely. That is the portion of the image I would prefer to see.

I like this b&w. Nice perspective on the poles, and I like how the sky goes from light in the lower left to dark in the upper right, nice effect. agree with giving more attention to the power lines, and less to the trees. The lines are the more attractive subject. Probably cropping out about 50% of the trees, and a little on the left.

good shot, string lines and nice contrast and composition.
as pointed may be too much black space at bottom right and probably too much emptiness in the top left.

There's a lot to like here but I disagree with the suggested crop as the most distracting element for me is the large silhoueted bushes in the bottom right.

I love the disappearing into the distance of the lines , but overall there seems to be too much space on the right and it loooks a little too dark on the right.

Quite an effective silhouette. The leading lines of the power lines are a strong feature but they don't really lead anywhere (in the frame that is). The power lines, which look to be the main focal point of the shot, look fairly out of focus, even at the extreme left; perhaps a smaller aperture would work better, and there's a blemish on the left between the 2nd & 3rd lines. There also appears to be some vignetting, especially in the top corners, but the vignetting kind of works in this B&W shot (wouldn't be as effective if it was colour I think). Personally I'd prefer the shot if the whole thing was sharper (at f/16 & 1/60 sec you'd probably still get a steady handheld shot) and if the powerlines led somewhere, but otherwise a pretty nice shot.

This is real nice. I was immediately intrigued by the nice composition and the mysterious glow on the left side of the picture. I noticed a crop suggestion but I do not agree. If you have to crop at all, loose something of the right side! There seem to be just too many bushes...
    I like the greys tough.

Maybe just crop the spot on the left side then. ;-)
