The objective is to build a Reggae Hall of Fame (RHOF) Pavilion and performing arts center in downtown, Kingston. This is a game-changing cultural development project for Kingston, centered on Reggae music and related Jamaican music that led to the explosion of Reggae worldwide. While others like curator and Reggae historian Herbie Miller, with good ideas and intention, have tried to establish something tangible, to date nothing of significance has developed. Yes, Jamaica Music Museum is a good start, but this is a very far cry from what can be done to celebrate the music and the talent that has placed this music in the international psyche. This vision presents a new approach, linking Reggae with urban revitalization. The plan seeks to stimulate a new interest in getting this architectural energy beyond just a dream. To articulate the dream and set it into motion does not take enormous investment. It will take vision, commitment, determination and partners who can dream big and think outside the box to establish a new game plan. This is a radical new approach from what has been attempted before.
