CONKARAH Roars in the Urban Jungle… A warm fusion of reggae and alternative rock is what best describes the work of Conkarah, a young Jamaican musician new on the international scene. Son of former national footballer, Richard Murray, he is a graduate of St George’s College. He attended the University of Charleston in West Virginia where he was the first Jamaican to graduate from that Institution, and also earned the award for ‘Most Talented Male Student.’ While there Conkarah entered a local radio station competition for new talent and his single ‘Rock with it’ won the prize for song of the month. Returning to Jamaica he worked with Penthouse Records, and released his first single ‘Rude bwoy love’ which hit the airwaves of local Jamaican radio stations in February of 2009. Conquering new territories he moved to London, where he is now based, working on his music and performing in clubs in the hip districts of Porto Bello and Camden. He recently launched his first music video, Runaway, filmed on the streets of London. Aired on youtube, receiving rave reviews with over 2000 hits in only a few days he is already on a Russian music site - fans there recommend - “must listen on all loudness…” Publicist Lam Deeks Catadupa Productions Limited. "It is not often one finds their passion in life, but for those who are fortunate enough to discover their passion, they should never give up on it! Only passions, great passions, can elevate the soul to great things."
