Trumpeter Swan. Best Viewed Large On Black I was tracking this Trumpeter and then it flew behind a telephone pole over a farmer's field. This is actually what it looked like as it came out from behind the pole. No PS or editing work here. What you see is how it was captured! American counterpart of the European Whooper Swan. The largest native North American bird, if measured in terms of weight and length, and is (on average) the largest living waterfowl species on earth. IMG_2456
