oh i adore this. you couldn't have placed that small boy better if you had tried. i love the pool of liquid blue light that drowns his shadow. everything about this is just stunning yoshi.

jace `thanks dude. :) there's something very special about kids in museums. they haven't yet learned to process art so it just hits them right in the gut, and you can just watch their jaws drop, and their eyes widen, and something happens to them. the older we get, the more we optimize to have as little as possible happen to us. kids then become conduits through which we remember.

lorrie `.......=0........;P.......hehe, thanks. i can't take too much credit for all that as it's hard not to get an interesting composition in this building, but i'm glad you like.

lauren `hmm, i hadn't noticed the blue around boy before, but now that you've mentioned it, it looks like an extension of the space reaching out to absorb him. yes, i like it. thank you ':P

      scandiholegg `surrealistic indeed... thanks.

This is brilliant. I really like the somber tone, and the feeling of wonder.

whoa, awesome. I love how the kid tilts his head and looks at the sculpture!

Wow, amazingly good. Combines your intense graphic eye with a really powerful human moment. Love how the window graphically catches 'wonder' as it sings upward. Did you buy that lens or is it a rental?

thanks again for your words, everyone. `:O

rob `yes, sir, this lens is indeed all mine. i found it in a local wolf camera some months back, just sitting on the shelf. no one working there knew what it was, or how rare it's become. i wasn't really looking to buy it, but i didn't like sigma's 30/1.4, and the 17-55/2.8 was too uncomfortable and too slow (and its personality too much like a pop song), and tamron's beautiful lenses can't focus worth a damn, so i was left with the 28/1.4. i figure that if i don't like it, i can sell it on ebay for a hefty profit, and pick up and k10d. but alas, it hasn't left my camera yet. :)
