Day 9 - What do you take with your pub lunch?
9/365 (January 9, 2011) - Salt and pepper are pretty universal, but the others are somewhat regional. The two most common toppings for french fries (chips) in Canada are vinegar (tastes vary between white vinegar and malt vinegar) and ketchup. Poutine ranks high in the east (Quebec mostly, although it is liked out this way by some), and gravy is not the most common, although it is to the taste of some.
Today's subject was shadows, low key imagery. As the afternoon sun came in through the window at the pub it created some great shadows ont he mundane condiments in the middle of our table.
