The old and new
Over the weekend, my wife told me the great news that we would be headed back to Iceland next year, which I couldn't be more excited about. I decided this morning to sift through some of the shots from my previous trip in a brainstorming effort of where to head next. This shot was taken in downtown Reykjavik. I loved the unique juxtaposition of the old Leif Ericson statue adjacent to the new and impressive Protestant church. I spent a while trying to frame this shot, and I've noticed that it has certainly been done before (and better) by others. I tried for a different angle here. I took a few shots from within the church which I'll try to post in the near future as well.
