The Argentine version of the Willys Station Wagon is the worldly famous Estanciera 4WD. This vehicle together with the 1956 Jeep produced in Santa Isabel, were milestones for IKA’s production and penetration in the Argentine market. Specially designed for rural purposes, the Estanciera enters the market, an icon regarding goods delivery and long distance transport in which traditional automobile commodities and velocity converge with the dimensions requested by transportation companies for shipping the products. At the same time this outstanding vehicle was extremely suitable for the rocky Argentinean roads.

All and all, its prestige grew not only among the shop owners who needed a special vehicle for transportation, but also among a broader audience who filled with the emotion provided by the adventurous spirit wanted to discover with their own means the land of beauty that is Argentina. Estanciera 4WD was conceived as a solid and powerful vehicle, the strong ground structure upon it was developed made of it the first –and for a long time only- nationally produced 4wd. But as time passed, and internationally based companies approached the Argentine market, the Estanciera remained as a powerful soul in the pantheon of adventure vehicles.

We take upon the legacy and invite our readers to imagine the wonderful feeling of touring the adventurous Argentine routs aboard a classic 4WD. When in England, tour aboard a Land Rover, when in Argentina, do what classy Argentines do, tour aboard a IKA Estanciera.
