The Walk No.4
I sure missed these two gals while I was out of town. Having no experience with kids apart from my own dimly remembered childhood it has been a pretty wonderful experience to watch as Quinn grows up. I never understood the particular happiness that comes from making a little kid smile or the totally guileless surprise they take in everything around them—cats, dogs, the moon, very beleaguered pumpkins. Obviously, I had a great time in Mexico but I am quite happy to be back in the company of these two. Today we went on a walk and it was pretty great.
As a side note, it is not that Anna doesn’t wash Quinn’s hair; you may notice that it is a bit greasy looking. No, Quinn gets plenty of baths, it is just that she rubbed Vaseline in her hair and apparently that does not wash out easily. That is Anna’s story anyway. I kind of like the greaser look anyway.
