      Hi Francesco, nice pic but from the bill shape, only two toes forward and undertail pattern I believe this is a Philippine Drongo-Cuckoo Surniculus velutinus chalybaeus

      Hi, you may be right: in the field my local guide called for balicassiao and it looked like ( there were other individuals in the forest ) therefore I kept the name ; but actually from the bill it might be a drongo-cuckoo. I will ask to my guide and let you know.

      Elfinn ha ragione. Io sono un esperto nell' avifauna delle Filippine. La prima cosa da guardare è la conformazione del becco (assomiglia da vicino quello del genere Cacomantis). La seconda cosa da guardare è la presenze di quelle piccole striscie bianche sotto le rectrices laterali vicino al corpo. E' un adulto.
