Boy with Toy Gun
A boy of about six handles a realistic toy hand gun. He lives in Southville, a relocation camp for squatters from the railroad tracks in Manila.
Initially relocated squatters had small grants from the government to build houses and there was actually a minor boom earlier this year as people spent their money. Now peoples' cash has run out and people live from debt to debt, going to Manila for periods when they need to raise cash. Crime and petty theft are starting to become problems.
This boy's mother described the situation to me as having gone from "Danger zone, to death zone."
