Indian National Congress Party Symbol

The hand is the symbol of the Indian National Congress Party. The symbol often appears on the national flag, a tri-color sash consisting of three stripes, orange on the top, white in the middle, and green on the bottom, with a symbol in the middle of the white stripe. To some extent, this photo mimics that design.


In Kerala, I saw and took photos of the following political symbols:

- Ears of Corn and Sickle (Communist Party of India)

- Hammer, Sickle, and Star (Communist Party of India (Marxist))

- Hand (Indian National Congress)

- Fist covered with world map (Centre of Indian Trade Unions, communist)

- Che Guevara


That's just a few of the many political symbols in India. Wikipedia shows the symbols of all Indian poltitical parties (there's a lot!) at:
