Indian National Congress Party Symbol
N.B. See my profile for usage guidelines.
The hand is the symbol of the Indian National Congress Party. The symbol often appears on the national flag, a tri-color sash consisting of three stripes, orange on the top, white in the middle, and green on the bottom, with a symbol in the middle of the white stripe. To some extent, this photo mimics that design.
In Kerala, I saw and took photos of the following political symbols:
- Ears of Corn and Sickle (Communist Party of India)
- Hammer, Sickle, and Star (Communist Party of India (Marxist))
- Hand (Indian National Congress)
- Fist covered with world map (Centre of Indian Trade Unions, communist)
- Che Guevara
That's just a few of the many political symbols in India. Wikipedia shows the symbols of all Indian poltitical parties (there's a lot!) at: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_political_party_symbols_in_...
