    Another in my Droste/Escher infinite regression series.

    The watch was borrowed from a friend of mine. I shot it with my usual lighting setup
    (à la mingthein) and conformally remapped it in mathmap.

      It is a real watch...just digitally manipulated to infintely repeat. It's based on this method of logarithmic image transformations.

      Not to mention that it's a kind of visual pun - re: Fossil! Reminds me of a nautilus shell - maybe this watch is an example of a "Platinum Mean". Cheers fpsurgeon! Brilliant work.
