Upon being destroyed from yesterday's practise day we did the same thing all over today for the national champs race day itself.
So. much. fun.
I could catch up on writing but I want a shower and my bed more.
One think I have learnt though is that I need more practise at this, I had a <5% keeper rate today purely because I didnt really know what I was looking for and the light was difficult, deep shadows and hot spots through the trees. When it was really dark you're pushing the limits of the camera to get a usable shutter speed but when it's a little more open like this you can blast off an over exposure, which I found were the best shots of the day.
I also actually got in a groove of shooting full manual under pressure, having each parameter on their own dedicated control was somehow much easier to manage than fumbling with the light meter.
But nothing more can be said other than this was not only the best weekend of the summer but the best weekend of 2010. For sure :)
