Century Duck Egg

I tried these with some grated ginger and chinese black vinegar and I loved it!

Thank you so much Kattebelletje! If you hadn't told me ( here) you love these eggs I would still be thinking that they are as horrible as stinky tofu!

And they are nothing like it!

 

Although I was in doubt for a little while. After peeling them I sniffed at them and I couldn't believe the horrible ammonia-smell. But I was brave and determined to add them to the tofu salad as planned.

And then, after cutting them in half and taking pictures I saw the knife with the green yolk sticking to it. And I decided to already take a little lick. And it wasn't bad at all!!!

 

So then I quickly browsed my log & mail to find out how to eat them "straight". And this was with grated ginger and chinese black vinegar. I tried it and loved it. :)
