The necessary material (delrin) for making the encoders has been supplied. After the previous tests I decided to mount only 10 magnets. In this way, the maximum diameter is limited to 30 mm, which is standard with Fischertechnik. With these 10 magnets I obtain 40 pulses per revolution via quadrature detection. The already made dual hall detectors work perfectly on this. The signals are adjustable to a 50/50 ratio with a shift of 90 degrees. This is necessary with these encoders. The 10 magnets provide 40 pulses per revolution, which is sufficient for most applications. The magnets have a diameter of only 2mm and are placed on a radius of 25mm. This 25mm diameter gives a perfect ratio of 50% for the encoder signals. The center distance of the hall detectors is 10.16 mm. By regulating them horizontally and vertically you obtain a perfect signal.
